The following is my attempt at debunking some of the fluff and rhetoric, in an effort to expose the naivety and apathy of modern day Australian society. The land down under is way more upside down and inside out than they would have you believe.
The media has a strangle hold on 90% of the population here, extremely biased regurgitation of the stuff they want you to hear, and everything else that is wrong with the world is someone else’s fault. Turning neighbours against each other, breeding hatred and bigotry, keeping the masses in a constant state of “fear of the unknown”. Critical thinking is nowhere to be found.
Not knowing where to focus their media-fueled angst, people revel in gangs of ‘middle class warriors’ worshipping at the altar of their chosen football religion. Unable to even contemplate that they are being brainwashed by the very television they hold in such high regard! This system of mass-distraction has the entire country shackled to the god of the flat screen.
It keeps them entranced with one of the most disgusting displays of reality TV obsession on the planet; cooking, renovation, survival, gardening, weight loss, police worship, dating, hospitals, vets, beach rescue, airport customs…you name it, if you put a bunch of normal people on the idiot box, doing anything, Aussies will watch it!
