A MANCHESTER United fan called 999 and demanded to speak to Sir Alex Ferguson after seeing his team slump to a shock defeat against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.
The drunken football fan called emergency services at 10.30pm last night just after the final whistle when United were knocked out at home 2-1 on penalties.
The supporter said he wanted to "report a crime" and that the Red Devils were "completely knackered" in their stunning loss at Old Trafford.
Audio of the conversation was released by Greater Manchester Police who dealt with the call.
In it the Manchester United fan is asked if he wants to report a crime and he responded: "The crime is that Manchester United, Manchester United were absolutely knackered." Full story...
