Two French international footballers are to stand trial for allegedly soliciting an under age prostitute.
Franck Ribery, 29 and Karim Benzema, 24, are accused of paying Zahia Dehar for sex when she was 16. If convicted, the pair could be sentenced to three years in prison.
The case began in 2010 when Ms Dehar claimed Real Madrid’s Benzema paid for sex with her in 2008 and that Ribery flew her to Munich for sex a year later as a "birthday present" to himself.
Both players strongly refute the allegations and say they had no idea Ms Dehar was under age when the alleged meetings took place. Ms Dehar has also insisted both players were unaware she was 16. Full story...
