Russian president Dmitry Medvedev spends £26m on luxury yacht...

Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president, has spent £26m on a super-yacht with whirlpool baths, an artificial waterfall and a cinema.

The 177 foot-long Sirius has quarters for 12 crew and a range of 5,000 miles.

The Kremlin bought the boat last year from the Proteksan-Turquoise company in Istanbul, the Guardian reports. It is believed to be a replacement for the current presidential yacht, which is due to be decommissioned. More...
